Eye Banks
- Definition:
- A facility which is maintained and operated for the extraction, removal, care, storage, preservation, and/or use of human eyes or parts thereof for purposes of sight preservation or restoration, medical education, instruction pertaining to sight preservation or restoration, or research.
- Exemptions:
- Any eye bank operated by the federal government.
- Type Regulations:
- An agency must obtain a license.
